The brief

An Australian Native Xeriscape with Personality to Match an 80s Character Home

An Australian native garden for a Gold Coast family — built around attracting birds and giving the family a low-fuss space to hang out with their daughter and dog. The house is a retro 80s build with arches, full of character; the brief was for a garden with the same personality.

We landed on an Australian native xeriscape — a drought-tolerant style usually built around southwestern-USA cactus, but here using sculptural, water-wise natives that suit the climate and feed the local bird life. The alternative was a white coastal palette, which would have read as too generic for the architecture. Xeriscape with natives gave the garden character to match the house.

What a Master Plan looks like

Indicative Master Plan deliverable — 3D site model and quantified materials schedule

Two pages from our canonical Master Plan sample, illustrative of the MP-tier output: an annotated 3D site model (left) and a quantified materials schedule with supplier references (right). Each MP project is tailored to the site — the structure and depth carry across.

Master Plan extract — annotated 3D site model showing materials, hardscape and design intent labels
Annotated 3D site model — design intent at a glance
Master Plan extract — quantified materials schedule with applications, quantities, sizes and supplier references
Materials schedule — quantified, with supplier references your contractor can quote
