What’s the difference between a landscaper and a landscape designer?

Do I need a landscape plan for my Banora Point property?

What plants suit Banora Point’s heavier soils?
On the silty, poorly drained flats we use species that tolerate clay and wet ground: Weeping Baeckea and Lomandra ‘Breeze’ for low planting, Hop Goodenia as a groundcover and Lilly Pilly ‘Straight and Narrow’ for screening. Brushbox handles clay as a shade tree, and Rose She-oak suits the better-drained ridge lots.
