The Finishing Layer
A Plant Plan for a freshly-built prestige home — the architecture and hardscape were already worth talking about; the planting wasn’t. Targeted planting to lift the whole property to where the rest of the build had set the bar.

The brief
Lift the Soft-Scape to Match the Build — A Targeted Plant Plan for a New-Build Prestige Home
Recently completed prestige build — architecture, hardscape and finishes all dialled in. The planting was the one piece that hadn’t caught up. From the street you read the build first and the garden second, and the garden was undermining everything else.
A Plant Plan was the right tool for the job: targeted, high-leverage, no rework on what was already done. Species chosen for the architecture, the orientation, and the way the property reads from the kerb — planting that frames the build instead of competing with it. The brief was simple: maximise ROI and aesthetics, fix the one thing that was holding the property back.
What a Plant Plan looks like
Indicative Plant Plan deliverable — annotated planting overlay and species schedule
Two pages from our canonical Plant Plan sample, illustrative of the PP-tier output: an annotated planting plan overlay (left) and the species schedule with photos, mature dimensions, spacing and quantities (right). Each PP project is tailored to the site — the structure and depth carry across.

Settling in
Planting growing into the build
A Plant Plan’s value lands as the planting establishes — structure first, fullness later. These are shots from across the project once the planting started doing the work.

New-build, hardscape complete — the planting wasn’t doing the property justice. Where the redesign starts.

How Much Does Landscape Design Cost?
A clear design means everyone’s working from the same vision — you get comparable quotes, confident decisions, and a result that looks like it was always meant to be there.
Most clients start with Concept + Planting. Opt for Concept + Master Plan when the build needs full setout, materials schedule, services intent and 3D renders.
Concept + Planting Design
- Design strategy workshop — lock in the vision on-site
- Concept layout (2D) — see the design intent before you build
- Materials & plant palette
Concept + Master Plan
- Everything in Concept + Planting, plus:
- 3D site model — spatial planning tool
- Quantified materials schedule
Plant Plan
- Video consultation (no site visit)
- Zone-by-zone planting schedule
- Layout illustratives
Remote Concept + Planting Design — $3,190 inc GST. Same deliverables as the on-site package, with a video consultation replacing the workshop. ~2 week turnaround.
